“Before I came to therapy, I’d had surgery to repair a broken patella that had almost no activity during the first three months of healing. I was in constant pain. It hurt to bend my knee, I could not go up or down more than 2 or 3 stairs – especially down. After 8 months of weekly therapy and once or twice a month for 3 months, I have many days without any pain an other days with occasional pain. I can go up and down stairs easily (but carefully) I still need to do a small set of me exercises 3-4 times a week to maintain my recovery and to keep my strength and to keep my leg muscles from tightening up. I can lift my granddaughter again and even ride a bicycle with my grand kids.” –C.C.
