Dr. Justin LeLonde is a lifelong athlete who brings his love of strength and conditioning to his professional practice. He is passionate about bridging the gap from rehabilitation to performance and believes in taking people all the way through this continuum of care. He specializes in working with active individuals from marathon runners to competitive weightlifters, and he has special experience in treating balance, vestibular and neurological disorders.
Justin knows firsthand the power physical therapy can have in returning people to the activities they love. As a collegiate football player, triathlete and Spartan race competitor, Justin has rehabilitated his fair share injuries in order to return to a level of optimal performance. Justin graduated Valedictorian of his doctoral program at Samuel Merritt, and has focused his practice in sports and orthopedic settings, as well as outpatient neurological and acute rehab settings including a residency for proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation. He also has training in sports massage and deep tissue mobilization.
Justin has an in-depth knowledge of exercise science and movement biomechanics, and he uses functional movement techniques to break down complex movements into fundamental ones, thereby laying the foundation on which performance and skills are built. To ensure his patients maintain their physical progress well beyond discharge, Justin utilizes a balanced blend of education and encouragement to ensure the patient’s plan of care is well-established.
When Justin isn’t helping patients achieve their highest functioning, he is overcoming hurdles and testing his body through Spartan races and marathons. Justin has a passion for people, and he enjoys rock climbing, weight lifting, yoga, cycling and, of course, a good cup of coffee!
