“I divide my sessions at SOL into two 2 parts: prehab and rehab. About a year ago, I came for hip pain. I was hoping to avoid hip replacement surgery. My first SOLPT was an excellent physical therapist. She taught me a series of exercises that both strengthened my hip and reduced hip pain. The benefits of these exercises, however, diminished over time and, in October, I had my hip replaced. The surprise was that my “prehab” had an enormous post-surgical effect. I was able to resume my regular routine (including my spin class) two weeks post-surgery. To make certain that my recovery was as as smooth as it seemed to be, I went back to SOL. Again, I was delighted with the exercises my new physical therapist showed me. The stretching, strengthening and balancing exercises corrected any residual tightness and weakness caused by surgery. At this point, I am thrilled with the entire experience I had at SOL. My hip feels terrific.” -M.H.
