Max believes that creativity is essential when working with the human body, and in order to achieve success there must be a fusion of both art and science. Max operates under the core principle that it is his duty to take the knowledge and skills he’s accumulated as a massage therapist, athlete, and physical therapist to creatively customize treatment to each unique individual.
Max’s passion for helping people in need was fostered while enrolled as an undergrad at CSUN. During this time, Max was a part of the team at the Center of Achievement for the Physically Disabled, serving the needs of patients with traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis, and spinal cord injury. Working with the population at the Center confirmed that he wanted to pursue a path of service to others. Just prior to becoming a physical therapist, Max worked as a certified massage therapist for 10 years. His early experience at the center, in conjunction with his time as a CMT has been extremely influential in his approach to patient care and how he administers manual techniques
Max joined SOL in May of 2014 and considers this to be a significant step in his journey toward becoming a more well-rounded physical therapist. Being part of the SOL team has been invaluable in his quest for constant learning and staying in sync with the best and the latest treatment methods and techniques. Being at SOL also allows Max to use his extensive background in individual and team sports to work with and relate to the needs of competitive athletes.
