Dr. Gillian Estronick has over 13 years of experience in the field of physical therapy. She began her career as a physical therapy aide in 2002 and has since worked with numerous physical therapists, coaches, trainers and aides, each with their own individual style or approach, and in a variety of settings including outpatient, inpatient, skilled nursing facilities, and hospitals.
Gillian’s interest in physical therapy began as a child when her best friend was told he would never be able to walk, ride a bike, or swim due to flexibility and motor control deficits. However, over the ensuing years, Gillian witnessed her friend accomplish all of those tasks through hard work and determination.
Gillian appreciates the value of patient autonomy. Her patients can expect to receive thorough instruction and explanation of symptoms and treatment, so that they can reproduce the therapeutic movement patterns learned in the clinic. Gillian believes physical therapy is most effective when delivered with sympathy, kindness, and understanding.
Outside of SOLPT, Gillian enjoys hiking, running, billiards, and playing softball. She is also interested in snorkeling and nature photography.
